About me

Hi, I’m Leonardo Izzo.

I’m mostly self-taught, and I like learning by messing around with things until they make sense. I enjoy understanding how the whole system fits together, whether that’s a frontend, a backend service, a computer running in my homelab, or something much lower level.

I tend to work on whatever I’m curious about at the time. Sometimes that means building something useful, sometimes it’s just following a rabbit hole because I wanted to know how something works. I also like sharing the things I learn along the way, so if you find something interesting here, feel free to reach out.

What I do#

I don’t really stick to one area. I like jumping between different parts of the stack:

• Frontend: JavaScript and TypeScript, mostly using React, Next.js, Astro, and Svelte.
• Backend: Go and Python.
• Audio: DSP and audio plugin development in C++.
• Systems: Ansible, Proxmox, Docker, and generally figuring out how to run things myself.

Currently#

A few things I’m spending my time on:

• Self hosting services with my home lab.
• Getting deeper into low-level systems and learning Rust.
• Learning more about machine learning while working on my submission for ARC-AGI-3.

There’s always something new I’m messing with, so this list will probably change sooner or later.
